Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa started Il Fanale in 1979, in a small workshop outside Treviso, near Venice. Their goal was to hand-make high-quality light fixtures that expressed “Made in Italy.” Using noble materials like brass, copper, and glass to create classic, modern, and contemporary luminaires, many Il Fanale fittings are fabricated with a special treatment of oxidation – a secret passed down within the family – rendering each product unique.
